Pakistan’s corporate sector reached a significant milestone in FY26, with the total number of registered companies surpassing 300,000. According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), 43,559 new companies were incorporated during the fiscal year, representing a 24% increase compared to FY25 and bringing the total number of registered companies to 301,615 by the end of June.
The SECP attributed the strong growth to its ongoing regulatory reforms, digital transformation initiatives, and efforts to improve the ease of doing business, fostering a more transparent and business-friendly corporate environment.
Among different business structures, public companies grew by 25%, private companies by 27%, single-member companies by 20%, and limited liability partnerships (LLPs) by 28%. Meanwhile, Section 42-licensed companies and foreign companies each recorded 5% growth during FY26.
Regionally, Punjab led with 22,364 new registrations, followed by Islamabad (8,340), Sindh (6,691), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (3,820), Gilgit-Baltistan (1,585), and Balochistan (759), reflecting broad-based expansion in corporate registrations across the country.
