KARACHI: Ghandhara Tyre and Rubber Company Limited (PSX: GTYR) has successfully obtained the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) certification, enabling the company to export its tyres to the United States, according to a material information notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The company stated that its manufactured tyres comply with the applicable U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), meeting the regulatory requirements for entry into the U.S. market.
The certification marks a significant milestone in Ghandhara Tyre’s growth strategy as it seeks to expand its export footprint and tap into new international markets.
In its notification, the company said the achievement aligns with its focus on strengthening its position in the global tyre industry by broadening its export portfolio and exploring new business opportunities.
“Ghandhara Tyre remains committed to capitalizing on emerging opportunities and delivering sustainable value to its stakeholders,” the company said.
The disclosure was made in accordance with the Pakistan Stock Exchange Regulations governing the dissemination of material information to shareholders and the market.
The development is expected to enhance the company’s export prospects by providing access to one of the world’s largest automotive markets while reinforcing confidence in the quality and international competitiveness of its products.
