Government Cuts Petrol Price by Rs1/Litre, Raises HSD by Rs3.37/Litre

The federal government has revised petroleum prices, reducing the price of petrol by Rs1 per litre while increasing the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs3.37 per litre, effective July 28, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the ex-depot price of petrol has been lowered from Rs335.18 to Rs334.18 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of High-Speed Diesel has been increased from Rs383.46 to Rs386.83 per litre.

The revised prices have been notified by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) in accordance with the pricing mechanism approved by the federal government.

Under the existing pricing framework, OGRA calculates and announces petroleum prices on a daily basis, taking into account fluctuations in international oil markets, exchange rate movements, and other relevant factors.
