Gold prices declined in both international and domestic markets on Saturday after a two-day pause, following a recent sharp rally.
In the global bullion market, gold fell by US$11 per ounce to US$4,174. Reflecting the international trend, the local market also saw a decline, with prices falling by Rs1,100 per tola to Rs439,836, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs943, settling at Rs377,088.
Silver prices also moved lower, with per tola silver dropping by Rs48 to Rs6,716, while the price of 10 grams of silver fell by Rs42 to Rs5,757.
A day earlier, both gold and silver had posted significant gains, with gold rising sharply in international markets by $122 per ounce, and locally increasing by Rs12,200 per tola, highlighting recent volatility in bullion prices.
