Pakistan’s cement dispatches increased by 7.21% during FY26, reaching 50.515 million tons compared with 47.116 million tons in the previous fiscal year, according to data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA).
The growth was primarily driven by robust domestic demand, with local sales rising 9.5% to 41.507 million tons from 37.906 million tons in FY25. In contrast, cement exports declined 2.19% to 9.008 million tons from 9.210 million tons a year earlier.
In June 2026, total cement dispatches climbed 18.38% YoY to 4.331 million tons. Domestic dispatches surged 26.78% to 3.541 million tons, while exports fell 8.73% to 789,840 tons.
Regionally, North-based mills dispatched 3.019 million tons during June, up 16.39% from a year earlier, while South-based mills recorded a 23.23% increase to 1.31 million tons.
For the full fiscal year, North-based mills increased total dispatches by 7.53% to 35.498 million tons, supported by a 10.83% rise in domestic sales. However, their exports declined 53.85% to 777,207 tons.
Meanwhile, South-based mills posted a 6.48% increase in total dispatches to 15.017 million tons. Domestic sales rose 3.18%, while exports grew 9.36% to 8.230 million tons, reflecting stronger demand in overseas markets.
The APCMA expressed optimism that cement demand will remain resilient in the coming months, supported by both domestic and export markets. The association also emphasized that easing geopolitical tensions and ensuring stable energy supplies would help reduce production costs and support the industry’s growth.
